It's International Women's Day and we here at Bug and Bird Photography love celebrating women any chance we get! So much so that it is our motto, "Celebrate Women, Celebrate You". In looking over the past few years of photographing women, their friends and family, the one thing that sticks out in my mind is how truly amazing each and everyone of them are. I've photographed leaders, entrepreneurs, lovers, moms, and warriors. Each has her own unique story and each is so incredibly beautiful and amazing. It's been an honor to create beautiful portraits that they and their loved ones will forever cherish.
I made this video for them. It is by no means all the women I've photographed but it is a tribute to every single one of them none the less. I tried to come up with adjectives that aren't necessarily traditionally used to describe women. It was hard not to fall into the trap of typically "female" words. But I'd also hate to deny what makes women special and unique so I used both. I also discovered is that there are so many wonderful words to describe women it's hard to choose just a few. Yet, choose I must so here is to women, the warriors, unique and special, celebrated because for so long they were not.
